1973 WSOP Main Event Final Hand

Walter Clyde “Puggy” Pearson had finished second in the previous two WSOP Main Events and had excelled during the preliminary tournaments in 1973, winning the Limit 7 Card Stud, which he had also won in 1971, and the $1,000 No Limit Hold ‘Em.

Pearson also took home a silver cup in addition to his six-figure payout from the Main Event, which would be his last WSOP victory.
